On Tuesday Dec 29th at approx. 23:16 hrs. Talleyville was alerted to reports of a residential structure fire in the 700 block of Westcliff rd in the community of Edenridge. 25-7 made an immediate response followed shortly by 25-6. Captain Quinn, on 25-7 went arrival with smoke showing from the eaves of the residence prompting the working fire dispatch. 25-8 arrived and assumed Talleyville Command. Crews stretched a line to the 2nd floor and located a fire in a bedroom with possible extension into the attic. A 2nd line was stretched to the 2nd floor and Sta 25 and 11 crews opened up the ceiling and walls checking for extension. Sta 13 vented the roof and laddered the building. All crews did a good job containing the fire to the room of origin with minimal fire spread and less damage to the structure. 25 units remained on-scene after the fire marshal investigation to salvage and overhaul the structure.
