It is with deep sadness the Tallleyville Fire Co. has to announce the passing of our Past President Daniel R Kiley 04/11/1940 - 08/22/2018. Dan was the longest serving President in the companies history. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side on August 22 2018. Dan began his career with Talleyville as a Junior at the age of 17 and worked his way through the ranks. He was the Chairman of numerous committees and played a key role with the everyday operation. Dan was Talleyville's President for a total of 37 years. Dan was also a Honorary Member of The Claymont Fire Co. Dan served as a Deputy Fire Marshal starting in 1969, Chief Deputy Fire Marshal in 1983 and as the State Fire Marshal from 1983 until his retirement in 2001.His pragmatic approach to being a leader was truly indicative of his desire to serve in making Public Safety and Fire Safety the very best it can be. Dan will be truly missed. Rest in Peace

- A public viewing will be held Sunday, August 26th at McCrery & Harra Funeral home 3924 Concord Pike 6PM til 9PM - Mass and a celebration of his life will be Monday, August 27th at St Mary Magdalen 7 Sharpley Rd at 11AM - Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetary 6001 Kirkwood Highway. - This is a full dress event for Talleyville Fire Co.
