At approximately 2:45 p.m. Talleyville was alerted to assist Station 11 on reports of a chimney fire in the 4600 block of Weldin Road. 258 went onscene advising fireboard that this was instead a working house fire with flames visible in the kitchen and a car parked in the garage. During search efforts the 1st floor collapsed and 2 firefighters called maydays. They were rescued shortly after and sustained minor injuries. Units operated at the scene for several hours while the fire was brought under control. Chester County 25-2 (Longwood) along with a crew for 25-7 covered the district during this time.
