Live Fire Training - West Chester Fire Department Training Center

Sunday, July 25, 2010 Talleyville Fire Company Officers and Members spend the morning training at the West Chester Fire Department Training Center a premier training center offering 6 training venues. Today Talleyville utilized the 5 story burn building although the heat index was 100 today the dedicated members continued to train throughout the morning, running evolutions for hose handling, search and rescue, and fire suppression to name a few.
In addition to training evolutions the department evaluated the latest MSA breathing apparatus for possible future deployment. Captain Rentz utilized the new breathing apparatus while the Chief Officer’s monitored his actions and air use via a wireless transmission to a laptop. The Fire Store was involved during the training to demonstrate the latest technology available from MSA.
