On 3/14/11 @17:33 hrs Talleyville was dispatched with a Rescue to assist Station 13 (Claymont) at 59 Balfour Ave in the Knollwood community, on reports of smoke coming from a house. Fireboard received multiple calls, stating possibly someone was trapped in the basement and upgraded the alarm to a working fire. Engine 25 was put on the working fire dispatch. 13-8 was on scene with heavy fire showing, and confirmed that all occupants were out and accounted for. Units went to work placing several 2" lines in service. The fire traveled to the adjoining "B" exposure creating an extended operation. It took approximately 90 minutes to bring the fire under control and 13-8 reported all visible fire was knocked down, units working at 18:51 hours.
