@19:00 hours R-25, 25-6, 25-7 departed the station for a training exercise on Powder Mill road. Crews were about to begin standpipe training when the Box was dropped for a structure fire @ N. Market and E39th street. All 3 trucks left immediately and made the response. While enroute fireboard advised they were receiving several calls and would be upgrading the incident. Shortly after Fireboard also advised a subject was reported trapped on the 1st floor. R-25, 25-6, 25-7 arrived together. R-25 & 25-6 entered the 1st floor while 25-7 pulled a line to the Bravo side to knock the heavy fire showing. R-25 and 25-6 located the victim and extricated him out the C side door and out to E39th Street and turned over to NCCEMS. 25-7 advanced a 2nd line to the 3rd exposure 3rd floor and opened up the ceiling to expose fire running across the roof. Units operated for several hours. While there Talleyville was alerted to an MVC. 255 handled that response from quarters.
